Samsung is gearing up to launch its sleekest and most ambitious smartphone to date, the Galaxy S25 Edge, at its highly anticipated Unpacked event tomorrow, 13 May. Touted as the slimmest Galaxy S-series phone ever created, the S25 Edge is just 5.85mm thick, bringing a new level of elegance to Samsung’s premium smartphone line.
At the heart of the excitement is the S25 Edge’s combination of cutting-edge hardware and refined design. According to official teasers and industry leaks, the device will sport a 200-megapixel main camera, a titanium frame, and the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Qualcomm’s most powerful chip to date.
Despite its ultra-thin form, Samsung hasn’t compromised on durability. The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature Corning’s Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, a new iteration of glass-ceramic hybrid protection that promises enhanced resistance against scratches and drops, ideal for a phone this slim and sophisticated.
The titanium frame also echoes design cues from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, lending the device a premium, lightweight feel while improving structural integrity.
Performance-wise, the S25 Edge is expected to be a powerhouse. The Snapdragon 8 Elite, making its debut with this release, offers substantial improvements in AI processing, energy efficiency, and heat management. Samsung has reportedly fine-tuned the chip to work in concert with the One UI 7.1 software for even smoother multitasking and camera performance.

Early reviewers suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge will come in configurations offering up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, placing it firmly in flagship territory.
Samsung continues to push mobile photography to new heights. The 200MP primary sensor backed by an improved image signal processor, is expected to deliver sharper low-light photos, real-time scene analysis, and AI-powered enhancements for everything from portraits to 8K video recording.
Leaks suggest the S25 Edge will also feature a quad-lens setup, including an upgraded periscope zoom lens with up to 10x optical zoom and 100x digital “Space Zoom.”
The Galaxy S25 Edge launch will be on livestream globally as part of Samsung’s Unpacked showcase, where the company is also rumoured to reveal updates to its Galaxy Buds series and possibly tease new wearables.
The phone is expected to be available in at least four colours at launch: Phantom Black, Titanium Silver, Sapphire Blue, and a new Rose Quartz finish exclusive to the S25 Edge line.
As Samsung looks to redefine what a flagship smartphone can be in 2025, all eyes are on tomorrow’s announcement. Whether the S25 Edge lives up to the hype, one thing’s certain: it’s shaping up to be one of the most talked-about tech releases of the year.
